Propaganda!

Propaganda is an exhibition and art project developed around Briskeby and Stig Brenner’s reinterpretation of Briskeby’s song of the same name. The project explores how propaganda shapes our perception of culture, music, media, and truth, and how these mechanisms have become increasingly relevant in today’s cultural landscape.

A exhibition by photographer Stian Andersen and curator Kjetil Wold, the exhibition draws from the aesthetics of political campaigns, mass media, and popular culture, the project examines how messages are constructed, distributed, and accepted as truth.

The visual identity extends the project’s central theme through a bold and reductive design language inspired by protest graphics, propaganda posters, and editorial typography. Strong colour contrasts, direct messaging, and deliberately confrontational compositions create a visual system that reflects the persuasive power of propaganda itself.

By translating a song into a spatial and visual experience, Propaganda becomes both an exhibition and a commentary on the forces that shape public opinion and collective memory.
